Organizations must be prepared to create an environment that is accommodating and accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities (PwDs). Accessibility audits delve into the organization’s policies, practices and infrastructure, identifying barriers and paving the way for diverse individuals to thrive.
How do we do it?
There are three broad steps in which we ensure that the accessibility audit efficiently transforms the organization into one that is inclusive for diverse needs for PwDs.
Feasibility study
During the initial feasibility study, a thorough examination of architectural and infrastructural barriers that pose limitations for PwDs will be mapped and marked for review to effectively address and mitigate the challenges
Detailed accessibility audit
A detailed acessibility audit is undertaken with the objective of removing information, communication, and physical barriers. This includes the evaluation and enhancement of workstations and their surrounding areas to ensure accessibility, thereby empowering PwDs to fully exercise their human rights.
Audit Implementation
Guided by urban harmonized standards, our expert team provides specific recommendations for tactile flooring, braille signages, illuminations, color contrasts, and reading apps to enhance web accessibility. We address often unnoticed gaps, offering solutions like inclusive office spaces, ramps, and accessible toilets. Additionally, we mandate safety and evacuation assessments for infrastructure serving individuals with disabilities (PwDs).
